Brooklyn, NY – Standing outside Engine Co 241, Ladder Co 109, on 3rd Avenue in Bay Ridge, the Uniformed Firefighters Association, a union of over 7,000 New York City Firefighters, endorsed State Senator Martin J. Golden’s campaign for re-election.
Steve Cassidy, President of the Uniformed Firefighters Association, stated that, “Senator Marty Golden has been a consistent supporter of New York’s firefighters throughout his public service career. He understands the stresses of the job and he appreciates the dedication and hard work of the men and women we represent. New York’s firefighters can count on Senator Golden. We want him to know that he can count on us. We are proud to endorse him for re-election.”
Senator Golden, surrounded by members of the UFA, said, “I am honored to be endorsed by New York’s Bravest. The Uniformed Firefighters Association has been fighting for the members of the FDNY, and I honored to have them fighting for me. Their endorsement is a privilege to have, and I want to thank Steve and all the members of the UFA for standing with me today and working to ensure my re-election.”
The United Firefighters Association joins The United Fire Officers Association, The Uniform EMT’s Paramedics & Fire Inspectors the Uniformed EMS Officers Union Local 3621, and The Uniformed Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association in endorsing Senator Golden’s re-election.
